Ice warning sign printing for Manchester car parks, paths and entrances gives a permanent winter warning where frost and black ice catch people out. A yellow triangle with the ISO 7010 W011 slippery surface symbol sits above the words "Ice Warning". Choose A4, A3, A2 or A1 on 3mm Foamex, 3mm Dibond or self-adhesive vinyl; production is 5 working days.

Ice Warning Sign Printing in Manchester
Black ice is invisible until someone is already on the ground. A warning at the top of the slope or the edge of the car park reminds people to slow down on the mornings when the gritter has not yet been round.

About this product
Where frost lingers
Higher ground freezes first. A pub car park up in Saddleworth can stay icy long after the valley has thawed, and a north-facing ramp or a path under trees holds frost all day. Those are the places for this sign: at the entrance to the car park, the top of a ramp, or the start of a path that runs downhill. The mistake is fixing it only at the building door, where people arrive after crossing the icy bit. Put it where they start walking, facing them.
Built for Greater Manchester winters
Ice signs live outdoors, so Dibond is the board to choose. It stays rigid and readable through years of rain, frost and wind on a post, fence or wall. Drivers turning into a car park need A1, legible from about 24 metres, or A2 at roughly 17 metres. On a footpath or by a ramp, A3 at around 12 metres is usually enough. Foamex only makes sense for an indoor spot, such as a cold store door.
Getting yours made
The sign comes print-ready. Upload your own version with a gritting note or site name and a person checks the file free before it runs. Prices start at £26.82. Production takes 5 working days and tracked delivery usually follows in 1 to 3 working days, at £7.95 per order or free above £100. Order in autumn rather than after the first hard frost. You can also collect from our Manchester office at Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, M8 8EB once we email that it is ready. Related signs sit in warning signs.
We are a Manchester printer with customers all over the UK. Delivery covers Manchester and its suburbs, Trafford Park among them, and the rest of the mainland, and local customers can collect from our Manchester office when the order is ready.

What size should I order?
Pick a size people can read from where they will stand. As a cautious rule, using the distance-factor method in ISO 3864-1, allow roughly 1 metre of reading distance per 25 mm of sign height (measured on the shorter side). Check it against your own risk assessment.
| Size | Can be read from about |
|---|---|
| A4 (210 × 297 mm) | 8 m |
| A3 (297 × 420 mm) | 12 m |
| A2 (420 × 594 mm) | 17 m |
| A1 (594 × 841 mm) | 24 m |
Good lighting stretches the reading distance; in dim spots, go a size up.

FAQs
Short answers on ordering ice warning sign printing in manchester.
Should the sign stay up all year?
Many sites leave it up through winter only. A Dibond sign stores flat and goes back up each autumn.
Does a sign replace gritting?
It does not. Treat the surface as well; the warning covers the risk that is left.
Which size for a Manchester car park entrance?
A1 or A2 on a post, so drivers read it before they turn in and step out.

How we handle reviews
Reviews come only from customers who bought the product. We match each one to a real order and label it "Verified owner".
Every genuine review goes up as written, good or bad. We do not edit reviews or pick favourites. We only hold back spam, abuse, or reviews containing personal details such as a phone number or email address.
Stars are the average of all published reviews. Nobody is paid, discounted or given gifts for a review.
A review shows its writer’s first name and initial. If you want your own review removed, contact us.
