About this product
Why heavy card needs a crease
Fold 300gsm card cold and the printed surface splits along the bend, leaving a ragged white line. A crease presses a groove into the sheet first, so it bends where you want it. That matters more as the stock gets heavier, which is why this product is about thicker paper and card rather than everyday mailers.
These leaflets are delivered flat. That surprises some people, but it is useful: flat sheets stack in a box without crushing, store in a drawer and get folded on the day. A Walkden church preparing orders of service for a wedding or funeral can have volunteers fold them the evening before and keep spares flat for next time. Restaurants keep a stack of flat menus and fold fresh ones as old ones get tatty.
Folds, sizes and stock
Flat sheets come in A5 landscape, A4 portrait, A4 landscape, 420 × 210 mm and A3 landscape. Then the fold:
- Half fold: one crease, 4 pages. An A4 sheet becomes a 148 × 210 mm card.
- Gate fold: two creases, 6 pages, flaps opening to the centre.
- Z fold: two creases for 6 pages or three for 8.
- Roll fold: 6 pages tucking inside each other.
Stock runs from 170gsm and 250gsm gloss or silk to 300gsm smooth white card, which takes a pen for invitations people fill in, and 350gsm silk, stiff enough to stand on a table. Print one or both sides. If you would rather they arrive folded on lighter paper, folded leaflets do that.
Artwork and timing for Manchester orders

Do creased leaflets arrive folded?
No, they come flat with the creases already pressed in, and each one folds in a second along the groove. If you want them folded for you on lighter paper, order folded leaflets instead.
Is a crease worth it on 170gsm?
Lighter stock folds reasonably well without one, but the crease gives a crisper line. It is on the 300gsm and 350gsm cards where it really earns its place.
How many orders of service should we order?
Count the expected guests and add a margin for spares and the parish records. Quantities start at 50 and go up to 5,000, so there is room for a family service or a packed cathedral.
Can they be sent to a Manchester venue rather than my home?
Any UK mainland address is fine, including a church, hall or restaurant in Greater Manchester, so pick one where someone will be in to take the parcel. You can also collect from our Manchester office once we email that the order is ready.
