Take an apartment scheme going up next to a park in Prestwich. Hoarding lines the pavement, families walk past to the park gates, and teenagers hang about at the corner. The board goes on the hoarding at regular intervals along every street-facing side, at eye height, so people walking either way meet one.

A frequent oversight is mounting it only on the main road and leaving the quiet back lane bare. The back lane is where people try a loose panel. Treat every public side the same.

The board pairs naturally with gate signs aimed at workers, such as the Site Safety Notice, so each audience gets the message meant for it.

A1 reads at roughly 24 metres and fits most hoarding panels. 700 x 1000 mm, at about 28 metres, suits a busy junction. A0, at about 34 metres, is for frontages seen from across a wide road.
