About this product

Count the pages before choosing a folder

The spine decides how much fits. An A4 folder with no spine holds a few sheets lying flat, such as a two-page quote and a price list. A 4 mm or 5 mm spine on an A4 folder takes a thicker set: a proposal, terms and a brochure or two. The A5 folder comes with a 5 mm spine for smaller paperwork, booklets, spa menus or event packs.

Glued pockets inside keep everything in place when the folder is opened on a desk. Tick the business card slot option and your card sits in the pocket ready to be taken.

Who uses them around Manchester

Card, finish and artwork

350gsm silk is firm and smooth; 400gsm is stiffer for a folder that feels solid in the hand. Print the outside only, or inside and out if you want details on the pockets. Lamination on printed sides can be matt, gloss or none.

Artwork is supplied flat, panels in order, 3 mm bleed. We send the cutting template (the dieline) for your size so the design lines up with the folds and pockets. A member of the team checks every uploaded file for free. No designer to hand? Our design service is £35 from a brief, with a first draft and two rounds of changes.

Express is ready to dispatch 5 working days after payment and artwork confirmation; Standard and Saver take longer for less, with days shown when you choose. The courier then usually needs 1 to 3 working days. Orders over £100 travel free, with £7.95 charged on anything under that.

Do I need a spine?

A flat folder is made for a few sheets. Anything thicker, such as a bound proposal plus brochures, needs the 4 mm or 5 mm spine so the folder closes properly.

Can I design the folder online?

Folders aren't set up in the online designer. Supply flat artwork on the dieline we send, or brief our design team for £35 and sign off the layout before it prints.

Will A4 sheets fit the A5 folder?

No. The A5 folder is made for A5 paperwork and booklets. Pick one of the A4 folders for full-size letters and quotes.

How long do folders take for a Manchester pitch or event?

Express can be ready to dispatch 5 working days after payment and artwork confirmation, then allow 1 to 3 working days in transit. Collect from our Manchester office instead if you prefer; we email when they are ready. Build in a few days for any artwork questions.
