Loud Music Strictly Prohibited Sign in Manchester
"Strictly" leaves no room for argument at midnight. For managing agents and hosts, the sign sets the rule in the space where the speaker comes out, so neighbours are not the first people to raise it.

About this product
Noise complaints in city centre blocks often start in the same place: a shared courtyard or a roof terrace on a warm evening, with a portable speaker and a few drinks. Residents above have no escape from it.
A Manchester apartment courtyard
Picture an apartment block in Castlefield with a courtyard ringed by balconies on four sides. Sound bounces around it, and one party disturbs dozens of flats. The sign works best inside the courtyard itself, on the wall where people sit, and on the door leading out to it. A matching one at the roof terrace entrance covers the other hotspot.
The mistake is putting it only by the main front door, among parcel notices and bin day reminders. Residents walk past it with shopping and never connect it with the courtyard at 11pm. Place it where the music would actually be played.
How the rule is enforced, and any quiet hours, is down to the building's management and lease terms. If you want quiet hours on the sign, add them through typesetting for £15; a person checks the file.
Board choice and sizes
Courtyards and terraces are outdoors and exposed, so Dibond is the right board for anything permanent. Foamex works in a covered entrance; vinyl sticks to glass doors onto the terrace. A3 reads from about 12 m, a good size for a courtyard wall. Prices start at £26.82.
Production takes 5 working days, then the courier normally delivers within 1 to 3 working days. We charge £7.95 for delivery, nothing once goods pass £100. Managing agents ordering for several Greater Manchester blocks can open a trade account for 5 % off the first order. See prohibition signs, then choose your size.
We are a Manchester printer with customers all over the UK. Delivery covers Manchester and its suburbs, Trafford Park among them, and the rest of the mainland, and local customers can collect from our Manchester office when the order is ready.

What size should I order?
Pick a size people can read from where they will stand. As a cautious rule, using the distance-factor method in ISO 3864-1, allow roughly 1 metre of reading distance per 25 mm of sign height (measured on the shorter side). Check it against your own risk assessment.
| Size | Can be read from about |
|---|---|
| A4 (210 × 297 mm) | 8 m |
| A3 (297 × 420 mm) | 12 m |
| A2 (420 × 594 mm) | 17 m |
| A1 (594 × 841 mm) | 24 m |
Good lighting stretches the reading distance; in dim spots, go a size up.

Reviews come only from customers who bought the product. We match each one to a real order and label it "Verified owner".
Every genuine review goes up as written, good or bad. We do not edit reviews or pick favourites. We only hold back spam, abuse, or reviews containing personal details such as a phone number or email address.
