Posters & Pavement Signs in Manchester
Posters and pavement signs do their work in the few seconds it takes someone to walk past your door. This range covers that whole stretch: the poster in the window, the A-board on the step, the barrier round the tables outside. Manchester cafes, pubs, salons, estate agents, bakeries and venues order from it for quiz nights, specials boards, gig listings and price lists, from a single A5 poster to a full terrace of barriers.

Three ranges for the shopfront
- Poster printing for windows, snap frames, noticeboards and billboard sites, A5 to A0 plus two inch sizes. The all-sizes poster printing page starts at £18.72.
- A-boards and pavement signs for the board that goes out at opening time: A-frames in A2 or A1, forecourt stands in A1 or A0. A complete A-frame pavement sign is £113.85.
- Cafe barriers to mark out outdoor seating with your name on, as full kits or extension kits.
Which poster stock?
| Stock | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| 150gsm satin paper | Indoors, behind glass, snap frames and noticeboards |
| 120gsm blueback | Pasted billboard sites; the blue back stops old posters showing through |
| 440gsm PVC | Outdoors, wet noticeboards, gates and fences |
| 400gsm PVC-free | Outdoors where a venue or brand avoids PVC |
Anything that will face the rain belongs on plastic stock, so go straight to waterproof posters, from £20.92 in A4 to A0. For roadside hoardings there are billboard posters in 4, 6, 48 and 96 sheet.
A-boards: buy once, refresh often
An A-frame can be bought complete, as a frame on its own, or kept for years with new posters slotted in as the offer changes. A-frame replacement posters start at £31.59 in A2 or A1. Forecourt signs print their posters on PVC banner material and come as frame only, frame with two posters, or posters alone. Many councils have rules about boards on the public footpath, so check yours before putting one out, and always leave room for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Shopfront print for Manchester high streets
We deliver window posters to bars in Chorlton and Didsbury, A-boards to cafes in Prestwich and Stalybridge, and terrace barriers to restaurants in Altrincham.
Artwork for a two-second glance
Set the file up at finished size. A poster read from across a room is fine at 100 to 150 dpi at full size. On a pavement sign, one headline and one offer beat a full menu. Keep text at least 10 mm in from the edge so the frame doesn't cover it, and check the date and time twice. Upload a print-ready file, use the free online designer, or book typesetting (£15). Someone on our team checks every uploaded file free before it prints.
How long things take
Posters take 2 working days on Express, 4 on Standard and 6 on Saver. Pavement signs take 3, 5 or 7. Cafe barriers are slower at 16, 17 or 19, so order them well before the warm weather. Counting starts at payment and confirmed artwork; the courier then usually takes 1 to 3 working days. Delivery is £7.95, free over £100 of goods, with £15 added once for boards bigger than A0.

Posters, Frames & Pavement Signs: what people ask us
What size poster fits a standard A-board?
Most take A1, though narrower A2 boards exist. Measure the poster window inside the frame before you order refills.
Will paper posters survive a Manchester winter outside?
No. Paper belongs indoors or behind glass. PVC and PVC-free posters handle rain on gates, fences and noticeboards.
Do you sell the frame without a poster?
Yes, both the A-frame and the forecourt stand are available without print.
Is collection possible?
Any order can be collected from our office at Unit 3, 116 Bury New Road, M8 8EB, once we email to say it's ready.
