About this product

Some sites keep their accessible parking in a separate area with its own gate, closer to a level entrance. Unless drivers are told before they pass that gate, they end up in the main car park with a long walk back.

A church with a side car park in Crumpsall, north Manchester

Picture a church in Crumpsall with a main car park off the front road and a smaller gated area to the left of the building, beside the ramp. On Sunday mornings and at funerals, older members of the congregation need that side area. Pick a size people can read from where they will stand. As a cautious rule, using the distance-factor method in ISO 3864-1, allow roughly 1 metre of reading distance per 25 mm of sign height (measured on the shorter side). Check it against your own risk assessment.
